Platform Specific tools

Four tools that handle the platform-specific decisions that most creator advice ignores: should this be short or long form, how to repackage one video for five platforms, where UI covers your frame, and which trending sound bucket fits your niche.

Short vs Long Form Advisor

Describe your video idea. We return a verdict (Short, Long, or Both — repackage), with reasoning and a predicted view-count range per platform. Considers niche density, payoff structure, and search-vs-discovery fit.

What's different here: Most "short vs long" advice is opinion. We score the idea against three structural axes that predict format fit.

Verdict will appear here.

What this solves

A 90-second video can become a 6-minute long-form, or it can stay short. Knowing which is the right move for your idea saves hours of editing.

How to interpret

"Short" means the idea fits a 60-sec payoff. "Long" means it requires 5+ minutes. "Both" means reframe: short for discovery, long for trust.

FAQ

When is short always wrong?

When the idea requires building context (e.g. a long coding tutorial). Shorts can't carry setup.

Can I just cut my long-form into Shorts?

You can, but Shorts from long-form underperform Shorts designed natively. The structure is different.

Cross-Platform Repackage Specs

Tell us your original video's platform, length, and aspect ratio. We generate a 5-platform repackaging plan: what to re-edit, what to leave alone, captions vs. burned-in, and the safe-zone differences per platform.

What's different here: Most cross-posting advice is "post everywhere!". We give you the per-platform deltas that protect quality and avoid demonetization.

Repackage plan will appear here.

What this solves

Cross-posting the same export at the same aspect ratio produces ugly black bars or cropped faces. The plan tells you which exports need a real re-edit.

How to interpret

"Direct" means upload as-is. "Re-edit" means trim/recut. "Reframe" means produce a new export with repositioned framing.

FAQ

Can I post the same to TikTok and Reels?

Yes — TikTok and Reels specs are nearly identical. The only difference is the watermark; remove TikTok watermark before uploading to Reels.

What about captions?

TikTok and Reels auto-caption. YouTube Shorts auto-captions too, but quality varies. Burn-in captions for LinkedIn, where auto-captions are missing.

Vertical Safe Zone Visualizer

Render a 9:16 frame with the platform's actual UI overlays drawn in: caption strip, share button, username, like column. Also marks the "high-engagement zones" — where viewers' eyes settle.

What's different here: We render three platforms side-by-side so you can see which areas of the frame stay visible across all of them.

What this solves

Captions burned into the bottom 15% are covered on every platform. The visualizer makes the invisible visible.

How to interpret

Red = covered. Yellow = partially covered. Green = the genuine visible area where text, faces, and CTAs land.

FAQ

Where should captions go?

Center-third of the frame, away from the right-edge like column. Never in the bottom 20%.

What about face framing?

Center face vertically in the upper 60% — the username strip covers the bottom on TikTok.
